The procedure of the exam 

For the procedure, we will ask you :

put on a gown and remove your jewelry and any metal objects that could interfere with the quality of the images

lie down comfortably on a table and remain still. The table will slide into the CT machine

hold your breath for a few seconds to perform the procedure. Please note that we will capture the images very quickly to minimize the radiation dose you will receive.

Depending on the examination prescribed by your health care professional, you may be injected with a contrast agent. The list of these agents will be indicated to you when you make your appointment. If you think you may be allergic, please notify our technologist.

In order to accommodate you, please note that the total time of your visit may vary between 30 and 60 minutes, although the examination itself will only last between 5 and 10 minutes.
